Ingredients
- 1 quart of Simple Tomato sauce (recipe below) or store bought marinara, then blend until smooth
- ½ cup of Vodka
- ½ cup of heavy cream, at room temperature
- ½ cup of Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound of Penne pasta
Instructions
- Simmer the tomato sauce and vodka in a large skillet over low heat , stir often for 20 minutes
- Stir in cream, simmer over low heat.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and well blended.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water, boiling until al dente (tender but still firm) about 8 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and transfer it to the pan with sauce.
